Silver Nipple Caps

Silver is valued for its antimicrobial properties and has a long history of use in wound-care applications. The caps also help create a protective barrier between sensitive nipples and clothing, reducing rubbing and friction between feeds.

Express a few drops of breastmilk into each cap, then place the caps comfortably over the nipples inside your bra between feeds. Remove before breastfeeding

Wear the caps on their own between feeds — no creams, pads or additional products are required.

Our Silver Nipple Caps measure approximately 4.6 cm across and 1.6 cm deep.

For the most comfortable coverage, they are best suited to an areola measuring approximately 4.5 cm or less in diameter.

Breast and bra sizes vary considerably, so we recommend using your areola measurement rather than your bra size when checking the fit.

How to measure: Measure straight across the widest part of your areola, from edge to edge.

Rinse after each use with clean water and dry thoroughly before wearing again. Avoid dishwasher, abrasive scourers, harsh chemicals or anything that could damage the silver-plated surface.

Can I wear them between every feed?

Yes, the caps are designed to be worn between feeds. Remove them before breastfeeding.

Do I need to add breastmilk?

No. You can add a few drops of breastmilk if you’d like, but it isn’t required for the caps to be worn.

Are they made from solid silver?

No. Each cap has a copper core with pure silver plating on both outer surfaces.

Do I need to use anything else with them?

No. The caps are designed to be worn on their own between feeds. No creams, nipple pads or additional products are required.

What if nipple pain or cracking isn’t improving?

Persistent or worsening nipple pain can have several causes, including latch or feeding issues. Consider speaking to a lactation consultant, doctor or other qualified healthcare professional for support.
